Isn't this spyware? No. Although PriceFriend looks at the pages you visit, it does NOT pass these details to us or anyone else, nor does it keep a history - there is no need!. Also, it doesn't show you annoying advertisements and is very easily turned off.

How does it work? PriceFriend will check each site you visit against a list of recognised retailer and information sites. If you visit a specific product page (E.g. Lord of The Rings DVD) and PriceFriend recognises it then you will see a small "Show Prices" overlay appear in the top left corner of the screen. Clicking "Show Prices" will cause PriceFriend to retreive a list of retailers and prices for the product you are looking at.

Can I remove PriceFriend? Yes, you can quickly disable PriceFriend by using the Add-on management functions of both Internet Explorer or Firefox. You can also completely remove the tool from your PC via 'Add and Remove Programs' from the 'Control Panel' for Internet Explorer, or the Add-on management function in Firefox.
